Secular, eclectic learning.
Educational Meetups
We meet regularly for knowledge building excursions. Nature centers, museums, zoo trips, and factory tours are some of the various educational activities we enjoy as a group. We also have semi-frequent arts and craft days.
Social Play Time
Social time is extremely important for homeschool families. During the warmer months we meet weekly for social play time at various parks. Some of our favorite parks include the Detroit Riverwalk, Innovation Hills, Stoney Creek and Lake St. Clair Metroparks, and other local parks.
Parental Support
Homeschooling is hard! Our group works hard to provide secular and inclusive support for families. Safety is our number one priority. We strive to provide a comfortable and safe space for our LGBTQIA+ families and families of color.
Unique and creative learning experiences
Every family learns and grows differently. As a group, we support each family’s learning style and share our schooling approaches with each other. By learning about different educational paths we can enrich our homeschool community. We aim for activities that help our children gain the knowledge they want in ways that work for their specific needs.
Building together
Social time helps our kids learn how to build friendships and learn communication skills. They learn how to work together as a team and resolve conflicts. Building respect, acceptance, personal boundaries, and kindly working together helps our kids grow into empathetic humans.
